Horses have been a part of my life since I was a child, except for the years in my twenties, travelling, working abroad and then running my own restaurant in Scotland.
In 1998 I participated in a natural horsemanship workshop. After the workshop I realized that my passion and what I really wanted to do with my life was to work with horses. From then on I set about immersing myself in learning and experiencing as much as possible from as many different teachers as I could.
So I went to work on a ranch in northern Kenya with previously unhandled horses, where I became very excited about the possibilities of having a deep understanding between horse and human and also discovered I was on a never ending path! On returning to the UK I became a working student and then the yard manager at the Natural Animal Centre, East Sussex with Ross and Heather Simpson. It was there that I met Steve Halfpenny (Silversand Horsemanship), who has become one of my mentors.
For the last 6 years my main focus has been developing my business Easy Horse, training horses and teaching people. I have continued to learn by participating in workshops with Leslie Desmond, Ray Hunt, Mark Rashid, Kathleen Lindley and Perry Wood. I have also been to Australia several times to learn from Steve Halfpenny and Philip Nye. I am an Associated Instructor of the Silversand Horsemanship Programme. My love of horses has led me on a wonderful journey   so far, one that is very fulfilling, both professionally and personally.
